Anuga 2025

The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is participating in the Anuga 2025 exhibition in Cologne, Germany, led by Hany Lawendi, Chairman of the Board, and Eng. Ahmed El-Sebai, General Manager, from October 4 to 8. The participation comes as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in European and global markets and to promote Egyptian food industries at one of the world’s largest specialized international events in this sector.

Strong Egyptian Presence and Government Support

Hany Lawendi, Chairman of the Egyptian Swiss Group, stated that this year’s edition of Anuga is witnessing exceptional participation and attendance from companies, particularly from Latin America and Europe. He emphasized that the Egyptian pavilion enjoys high-level governmental representation from several key entities, including the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions, the Egyptian Commercial Service, and the National Food Safety Authority, in addition to the pivotal role played by the Food Export Council of Egypt.

Lawendi added that this official presence reflects the Egyptian government’s strong support for the food industry sector and its commitment to empowering local companies to expand into international markets. He pointed out that such participation opens new export horizons and enhances global confidence in Egyptian products.

Export Expansion and Strong Growth in Europe

For his part, Eng. Ahmed El-Sebai, General Manager of the Group, affirmed that participation in Anuga represents a strategic opportunity to expand the company’s international business network. He noted that the Group continues to achieve annual growth in its exports to European markets.

El-Sebai explained that in recent years, the company has successfully entered new markets in France, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands, reflecting the strength of the Egyptian Swiss brand and its ability to meet the global quality standards required by European markets.

He also highlighted that the support of the Egyptian government and the presence of the National Food Safety Authority at the exhibition help guide Egyptian companies to comply with international standards and facilitate the entry of products into target markets — supporting the state’s plan to increase exports and enhance competitiveness.
