Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by his delegation, inspected several factories in 10th of Ramadan City, including the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates, where they were received by Eng. Hani El Lawendy, Chairman of the Group.
During the tour, the Prime Minister listened to a presentation by Eng. Ahmed El-Sebaey, the General Manager of the company, who explained that the group’s facilities span an area of 35,000 square meters, and that there is a plan to invest $10 million in expanding production capacity in the near future to meet growing demand in both export and local markets.
El-Sebaey noted that the Egyptian Swiss Group was established in 1995, starting out in grain and flour trading. In 2003, it launched its first mill in Assiut, then expanded to Borg El Arab in 2007, and to 10th of Ramadan City in 2010. The pasta factory was launched in 2013, followed by the concentrates plant, and in 2018, the group merged its milling operations for higher operational efficiency.
He added that the group includes:
- A pasta factory with a production capacity of 8,000 tons per month.
- Two flour mills with a combined capacity of 30,000 tons of flour per month.
- A sauce factory producing 3,000 tons per month.
- Metal silos at both the 10th of Ramadan and Borg El Arab mills, with a total storage capacity of 50,000 tons of wheat.
The group currently exports to over 40 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and most recently, Latin America. It is now focusing on entering new markets, especially in light of global shifts and trade wars that are reshaping market dynamics and creating new export opportunities.
