The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is participating in the Anuga 2025 International Food Industry Exhibition in Cologne, Germany, led by Hany Lawendi, Chairman of the Board, and Eng. Ahmed El-Sebai, General Manager. The exhibition runs from October 4 to 8, as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in European and global markets and to promote Egyptian food industries internationally.

Government Support

Hany Lawendi, Chairman of the Egyptian Swiss Group, stated that this year’s edition of Anuga is witnessing exceptional participation and attendance from companies, particularly from Latin America and Europe. He emphasized that the Egyptian pavilion enjoys high-level government representation from several key entities, including the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions, the Egyptian Commercial Service, and the National Food Safety Authority, in addition to the Food Export Council of Egypt, which plays a major role.

Empowering Egyptian Companies

Lawendi added that this official presence reflects the Egyptian government’s strong support for the food industry sector and its commitment to empowering local companies to expand into international markets. He pointed out that such participation opens new export opportunities and strengthens global confidence in Egyptian products.

Export Expansion

For his part, Eng. Ahmed El-Sebai, General Manager of the Group, affirmed that participation in Anuga represents a strategic opportunity to expand the company’s international business network. He noted that the Group continues to achieve annual growth in its exports to European markets.

New Markets

El-Sebai explained that in recent years, the company has successfully entered new markets in France, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands, reflecting the strength of the Egyptian Swiss brand and its ability to meet global quality standards required by European markets.

Enhancing Competitiveness

He also highlighted that the support of the Egyptian government and the presence of the National Food Safety Authority at the exhibition play a key role in guiding Egyptian companies to comply with international standards and facilitating the entry of Egyptian products into target markets—supporting the state’s plan to increase exports and boost competitiveness.

The Egyptian Pavilion

El-Sebai further noted that this year’s Egyptian participation is marked by unprecedented promotional campaigns across Cologne, where hundreds of taxis roamed the city’s streets decorated with eye-catching advertisements showcasing Egyptian products. This wide-scale campaign aims to attract international visitors to the Egyptian pavilion at the exhibition.
