Prime Minister Inspects Egyptian Swiss Group’s Pasta, Milling, and Concentrate Factories in 10th of Ramadan City

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, along with his accompanying delegation, visited several factories in 10th of Ramadan City, including the facilities of the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates. The delegation was welcomed by Eng. Hani El Lawendy, Chairman of the Group.

During the tour, the Prime Minister listened to a presentation delivered by Eng. Ahmed El-Sebaey, General Manager of the company. He explained that the group’s factories span an area of 35,000 square meters, and the company plans to invest $10 million in upcoming expansions to increase production capacity in response to rising demand from both export and domestic markets.

El-Sebaey noted that the Egyptian Swiss Group was established in 1995, starting with grain and flour trading. The company launched its first flour mill in Assiut Governorate in 2003, then expanded to Borg El Arab in 2007 and to 10th of Ramadan City in 2010. In 2013, it inaugurated its pasta factory, followed by a concentrate plant, and in 2018, it consolidated its milling operations to improve operational efficiency.

He added that the group currently operates:

  • A pasta factory with a production capacity of 8,000 tons per month

  • Two flour mills with a combined monthly capacity of 30,000 tons of flour

  • A sauce/concentrate factory producing 3,000 tons per month

  • Metal grain silos in both 10th of Ramadan and Borg El Arab, with a total wheat storage capacity of 50,000 tons

The company exports its products to more than 40 countries worldwide, including markets across Africa, Asia, Europe, and recently Latin America. It is also focused on expanding into new markets, especially in light of recent global developments and trade shifts, which present new export opportunities.
