The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is taking a strategic step to strengthen its presence in regional markets by selecting Jordan as a primary launch platform for its products into the Middle East, backed by growth indicators showing over 30% increase in Egyptian food industry exports to Jordan.
This move coincides with the group’s first participation in the International Food and Food Technology Exhibition (InftExpo 2025), held from August 12 to 14, 2025 in Jordan.
Ahmed Younes, representative of the group’s Export Department, emphasized during the exhibition that the Jordanian market is not just a new export destination but a central pillar in the group’s external expansion strategy, due to its geographical position connecting it to multiple regional markets — from Palestine and Syria to Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Younes also pointed out that last year, Jordan ranked seventh among the largest importers of Egyptian food products, with imports valued at $247 million, marking 32% growth. In the first half of this year, Jordan advanced to the sixth position, with $135 million in imports and 20% growth, reflecting the market’s dynamic demand and its capacity to absorb more Egyptian products.
