The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates has announced a new strategic move to strengthen its regional presence by selecting the Jordanian market as a key launch platform into Middle Eastern markets. This decision is supported by growth indicators showing more than a 30% increase in Egyptian food industry exports to Jordan.
Egypt’s food industry exports to Jordan have seen remarkable growth, rising by 32% last year to reach $247 million, and continuing upward in the first half of 2025 with a 20% increase, reaching $135 million. This performance has advanced Jordan to the sixth position among the largest importers of Egyptian food products.
This step coincides with the group’s first participation in the International Food and Food Technology Exhibition (InftExpo 2025) in Jordan, which serves as an opportunity to strengthen trade relations and build new partnerships with major importers and distributors.
Ahmed Younes, from the group’s export management, explained that the work plan in Jordan is based on gradually increasing export volumes, with a focus on pasta and concentrates as core products, supported by a growing network of trade relationships.
