The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates launched a blood donation campaign at its operational facilities to encourage its employees to participate in supporting children battling cancer. This comes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and in cooperation with Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357.
The campaign aims to contribute to providing the hospital’s needs for blood and its derivatives, thereby supporting the therapeutic services and healthcare provided to the sick children, and enhancing their chances of receiving the necessary treatment in a timely manner.
Supporting the Healthcare Sector Within the CSR Strategy
The initiative falls within the Group’s vision of achieving a sustainable societal impact by supporting vital sectors, foremost among them the healthcare sector, through the implementation of practical initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life and promoting social solidarity.
The campaign was executed in coordination with the Association of Friends of the National Cancer-free Initiative (AFNCI) under the slogan “A Drop of Blood = A Life.” It aims to spread the culture of blood donation and transform it into a sustainable corporate practice, reflecting the employees’ awareness of the importance of their role in serving the community and contributing to saving patients’ lives.
