The 6th of October Technological University honored the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates in recognition of its role in supporting students and providing training opportunities, as well as its active contribution to the first employment fair, “Career Gate 1.0.” The event was organized by the university with the participation of approximately 50 companies from the food, technological, and textile industries.
The honor was presented by Prof. Dr. Heba Farouk Salem, President of the 6th of October Technological University, during the fair hosted by the university. The event was attended by academic leaders and private sector representatives as part of the university’s efforts to enhance communication between students and the labor market, and to open new horizons for training and professional development for the youth.
The University President highlighted the university’s commitment to linking education with market requirements through cooperation with private sector companies and government entities to provide practical training for students. This initiative aims to prepare qualified personnel who are aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2023, while also working toward resource sustainability.
During the fair, Eng. Ahmed El-Sebaei delivered an awareness lecture to the students addressing the importance of linking academic studies with labor market requirements. He emphasized that companies are increasingly seeking practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge, in light of the rapid developments witnessed by the local and global employment markets.
